The origins of yoga can be traced back over 5000 years to the very foundation of Indian civilisation. The word ‘yoga’ is most commonly interpreted as ‘union’ and therefore can congruently improve your physical, mental and spiritual health.  

Many people think that yoga is stretching. Stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses, each of which has specific physical benefits. The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose.

Our instructor will assess your needs and ability before developing a routine that will create balance in your body by improving both strength and flexibility. You will perform a number of performance based poses, each with specific physical, mental and spiritual benefits.
